During the conversation the sides were discussing the issues of implementing the Nation Plan 100 Specific Steps, as well as the results of justice administration for the current year’s 8 months and preparation for the upcoming VII Congress of Judges of Kazakhstan.
The Supreme Court Chairman reported that the ten steps of the Nation Plan assigned to the judicial service had been taken. The reforms laid down in the Nation Plan have provided a powerful impetus for further improvement of the country’s judicial system and proceedings. Optimization of the courts has significantly simplified access to justice and reduced the time of final decisions.
K. Mami said that since January 1, 2016 the courts had changed from a five-step to a three-tier system of justice.
The Supreme Court Chairman has also informed about the full functioning of a specialized collegiate organ of the Supreme Court on investment disputes, a specialized composition of Astana city court as well as the International Council, established at the Supreme Court.
Following the meeting the Head of State gave a number of specific instructions on further improvement of the judicial system and the preparation of the VII Congress of Judges.
