At the meeting, the Head of State was briefed on the situation in national theatres and cinema industry in Kazakhstan.
Tungyshbai Zhamankulov reported to the President on creative activities of regional theatres, progress in training young specialists at the T.Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, as well as other pressing issues.
They also discussed the issues of raising the status of the Union of Kazakhstan’s Theatre Workers.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev focused on the peculiar role of a theatre and cinema in the cultural and spiritual life of the country. The Head of State noted that he would pay an increased attention to the development of this sphere and provide permanent support.
