The meeting participants addressed the issues of preparation for the upcoming international exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked Vicente Loscertales for his attention to the organization of EXPO in the Kazakh capital.
Your visits and assessment of our work are of important for us. I regularly monitor the process of construction and the pace of preparation. There are no delays in the construction schedule,” the President said, adding that the constructions works are to be finished by late 2016. Nursultan Nazarbayev also said the preparation process will start immediately after that.
Secretary General Loscertales, on his part, said the main goal of his visit to Astana is to attend the 2nd meeting of EXPO participants and survey the preparations for the event.
