The Head of State has noted that today Kazakhstan and Singapore have established friendly and partnership relations at a high level.
- We have a long and good relationship with Singapore. I have long been friends with Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, and we support close cooperation with the country’s current Prime Minister. At all international venues we always meet and talk about how to further strengthen our relations, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed Kazakhstan's interest in tourism development and told about the measures taken to increase Astana’s tourist potential.
- You are a person known in the hotel business, working in many countries of the world. Astana is a new capital, and we intend to make it a tourist city. To do that, we are studying the path that Singapore has taken in this direction, the Head of State said.
In his turn, Ong Beng Seng spoke about his first experience in Kazakhstan.
The Singapore businessman noted the dynamic growth rates and high results of Kazakhstan's development under the leadership of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
