During the meeting the issues of implementing the agreements reached between the two countries during the official visit of the Head of State to Serbia in August the current year were discussed.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that Serbia is an important business partner in Europe for our country, pointing to the existing potential for economic relations development.
- There are 24 Serbian companies in Kazakhstan, of which only 15 are in operation. At the same time, a test case of successful work of the Serbian business in Kazakhstan is a company, which participated in the construction of a subway, offices and banks. Thus, the opportunity to continue and strengthen economic cooperation, in particular, is obvious, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State expressed hope that the successful negotiation of the Serbian side with the government of Kazakhstan, as well as participation in the upcoming business forum would contribute to strengthening the bilateral relations.
The President also invited Serbian companies to take part in the implementation of "Nurly Zhol" infrastructure program and the industrial-innovative development program.
- You will see the Nazarbayev University, bringing together the best traditions of education, inviting high-achieving teachers from around the world. The university students are provided with the most modern material and technical resources for training, the primary task of that education institution is to train high-level personnel for the effective fulfillment of public tasks, said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In turn, Prime Minister of Serbia thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the hospitality and noted the contribution of the Head of State to the country's development in general and its capital city.
In addition, Aleksandar Vučić underscored that Kazakhstan's development experience in various fields of economy is useful for Serbia.
