At the meeting, the Presidium Chairman T.Kulibaev and the Board Chairman A.Myrzakhmetov informed the President on the results of the National Chamber for 2016, the business community activity on the country’s development, as well as the plans for the upcoming period.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that the Government is constantly engaged in focused work on business support.
- The work is in progress systematically on timely introduction of amendments in legislation, the number of inspection organizations has reduced, and scheduled inspections have been canceled. Entrepreneurs are actively involved in the legislative process, which should help to increase the share of business in the country's GDP, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The President also pointed out that the measures taken by the government for entrepreneurship promotion in the country should make provision for adequate feedback from the business community.
- It is time for business to respond to the care, attention and support of the state. It is essential to work on the permanent involvement of citizens in business, increasing its share in the economy, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Chamber leaders said that the share of small and medium-sized businesses currently hold 25% of GDP, and employ more than 3 million people. In 2016 it produced goods to 11.2 trillion tenge, which is 6% more than in 2015.
Also the Chairman said that on the Head of State’s instructions there is an audit work in permits, inspection and enforcement areas, the result of which is a significant reduction in permits and routine checks’ abolition.
- Together with the General Prosecutor's Office and the Parliament members we have carried out the revision of the sanitary-epidemiological requirements in various activity fields of small and medium-sized businesses, A.Myrzahmetov said.
In addition, the National Chamber leadership informed about the measures taken in terms of creating mobile services for optimization and efficiency of domestic entrepreneurs.
Following the meeting the Head of State has given a number of specific orders.
