During the event President of Kazakhstan - Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Nursultan Nazarbayev looked around the facilities of the Center of military and methodical training of Special Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and watched military exercises. Special task groups of the State Security Service, National Guard, Interior Ministry, National Security Committee, as well as Almaty Department of Internal Affairs and Main directorate of intelligence of the Ministry of Defence took part in the exercises.
Addressing the participants of the exercises, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the new Center of military and methodical training ensures quality training of military men, allowing them to continually improve their skills.
The President stressed that because of the recent events in the world, as well as military action in the Middle East and terrorist attacks in some countries Kazakhstan should be ready to handle any possible threat.
The armed forces are essential for the preservation of our territorial integrity, sovereignty and protection of our country,” he said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also said that over the years of independence Kazakhstan’s Army, along with other military units and special bodies reached qualitatively new stage of development.
Standing at the threshold of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence, we can say that we have created the modern armed forces. To this end they are equipped with modern weapons and special technology, having properly trained professional staff. We have significantly improved social conditions for the military men. All these issues are in the focus of our attention,” he said.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated all the servicemen on the upcoming Defender of the Fatherland Day and wished them every success in their service.
