During the conversation, the leaders have discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as current issues on the regional and international agenda.
The President of Russia congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on the successful holding of the Sixth International Meeting on Syria in Astana, held on September 14-15.
Vladimir Putin has also informed Nursultan Nazarbayev about the efforts of the Russian Federation to resolve the conflict in Syria. The sides stressed the importance of continuing the Astana process.
In addition, the Presidents considered the schedule of forthcoming meetings, including the preparations for the meetings of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council and the Council of CIS Heads of State.
The two leaders agreed to continue regular dialogue on the whole range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
