Telegram of congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey

The Head of the State congratulated the President of the Republic of Turkey on the successful holding of a nationwide referendum on amending the country’s Constitution.

"Referendum results are clear evidence of your high authority among the people of Turkey and support of your policy aimed at strengthening the country's position in the international arena. I believe that under your leadership Turkey will remain a secular state with a strong public consensus, a country that has its significant place in global politics, which will make an even greater contribution to maintaining stability in the region.

I am confident that the existing close cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey will continue in the spirit of mutual understanding for the benefit of two nations," the telegram reads.

Nursultan Nazarbayev wished the President of Turkey great success on his post of responsibility, and wished the fraternal people of Turkey further progress and prosperity.
