A ceremonial welcome for Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, who arrived in Astana on an official visit, took place at the Akorda Presidential Residence.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Robert Fico introduced members of their official delegations to each other. The commander of the honor guard delivered a welcoming report, followed by the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Slovakia.
During the one-on-one talks, President Tokayev emphasized that the Prime Minister’s visit to Kazakhstan would strengthen the Kazakh-Slovak partnership and open new prospects for bilateral relations.
– Kazakhstan and Slovakia share close ties. We are implementing major joint projects, and I believe there are still opportunities to be thoroughly explored and realized in the future. We attach great importance to your visit and are confident it will advance cooperation between our two nations. We highly value our relations with your country and consider Slovakia one of Kazakhstan’s key partners in the European Union. As President, I will do everything possible to expand and deepen our ties across various domains, – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated.
In turn, the Prime Minister of Slovakia expressed readiness to inject new momentum into bilateral relations and enhance trade and economic ties with Kazakhstan.
– Your Excellency, Mr. President, thank you for your warm hospitality. I would like to reaffirm that there are no political disagreements between our countries, allowing us to fully focus on mutually beneficial economic cooperation and friendship. Today, we will discuss several highly important and mutually beneficial projects. I am confident that the outcomes of this visit will be very successful, – Robert Fico noted.
