During the meeting, President Tokayev expressed profound appreciation for UEFA’s continued support and commitment to the development of football in Kazakhstan. He stated that the number of people playing football in Kazakhstan now exceeds one million, accounting for 13 percent of all those involved in sports nationwide.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasised the importance of forming a sustainable market business model in domestic football and the development of club management. He supported cooperation with UEFA in the implementation of educational and exchange programmes aimed at improving the professional level of specialists and young players.
In response, Aleksander Čeferin thanked the Head of our state for the meeting and expressed readiness to expand partnership with Kazakhstan. He noted that between UEFA and the Kazakhstan Football Federation has already established close co-operation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Tokayev awarded Aleksander Čeferin with the II degree Dostyk Order in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of sports in Kazakhstan.
