The meeting focused on discussing the prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of previously reached agreements in the transport and logistics sector.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the plans of Abu Dhabi Ports to build a number of large-scale facilities, emphasizing that these initiatives align with Kazakhstan’s strategic interests in developing maritime and port infrastructure in the Caspian Sea.
The Head of State highlighted that the development of transport infrastructure and transit corridors is of great importance for ensuring sustainable economic growth and activating international trade.
In turn, Mohamed Al-Shamisi thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his unwavering support in the implementation of joint investment projects. He also informed the President about the mutually beneficial cooperation with the Samruk-Kazyna Fund and the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways).
Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Mohamed Al-Shamisi expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint projects.
