At the meeting, Kairat Kozhamzharov reported to the Head of State on the results of the Agency's activities for the 10 months of this year.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the importance of forming in society intolerance to manifestations of corruption.
- When adopting the law on combating corruption, I addressed everyone, stating that there are no mercy rules for anyone, and no one could escape punishment if he committed corruption crimes. Over recent years, a lot of work has been done concerning the issue, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Kazakh leader has also stressed the need for rational and transparent use of public funds.
Kozhamzharov informed Nursultan Nazarbayev about the steps taken to carry out the anti-corruption policy and drew focus toward the high assessment of its actualization by the international expert community.
- For 10 months of the current year, 3,400 criminal cases have been opened, of which 1,000 cases were submitted to the court. Out of KZT 15 bln of the inflicted damage, KZT 11 bln returned to the state. Seized property amounted to more than KZT 7 billion, the Agency's Chairman reported.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan has given a number of specific instructions.
