During the meeting Sergey Kulagin informed Nursultan Nazarbayev on the current socio-economic development of the region, as well as the major tasks for the upcoming period.
The President stressed it is necessary to boost trade across regions and ensure balance of production and consumption in each region of the country.
In his report, Sergey Kulagin noted industrial production in 2015 has increased by 6.9%, while the agricultural and construction sectors - by 2.1% and 6.1% respectively.
The mayor also told about the measures taken to prevent growth in food prices and progress in the implementation of the Industrialisation Map. Over the past two years under the programme of industrial and innovative development the region has implemented 21 projects totaling to 63.6 billion tenge, which allowed creating more than 1.7 thousand jobs.
In addition, the sides discussed prospective projects under the “food belt” of Astana.
