During the meeting Kalmukhanbet Kassymov informed the President on the measures implemented as part of the law enforcement reform and told about the first results of local police services’ work aimed at crime prevention.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the introduction of new mechanisms by the “100 concrete steps” plan will allow law enforcement agencies to more effectively carry out its functions.
He also instructed the minister to ensure control over the observance of law and order during the preparation and conduct of elections to the Majilis and maslikhats of all levels.
Kalmukhanbet Kassymov, in turn, noted the penitentiary infrastructure is being modernized within the framework of public-private partnership. The minister touched upon the functioning of agencies in the field of civil protection and emergency prevention and control.
At the end of the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev set a number of specific tasks before the minister.
