Nursultan Nazarbayev and Mark Rutte discussed a wide range of issues related to cooperation in the field of trade, economy, oil and gas, agriculture, transport and space.
The parties also exchanged views on the most topical issues of the international agenda.
As noted by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Netherlands is an important partner for Kazakhstan.
This is our fourth meeting. My visit to your country last year was very fruitful and I highly appreciate its results. In 2010 the Netherlands took part in the OSCE Summit in Astana. The Kingdom of the Netherlands ranks the first among European countries in terms of the amount of investment made in our country, and it is one of the most important trade partners of Kazakhstan. We suppose your visit will raise our bilateral relations to a brand new level. It is also important that you are accompanied by the representatives of business circles of your country,” he said.
Mark Rutte, on his part, emphasized broad opportunities for bilateral cooperation, especially in the framework of the 100 Concrete Steps national plan that is aimed at further diversification of Kazakhstan’s economy.
