During the meeting, the Head of State familiarized himself with the current activities and further prospects for developing the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.
Secretary General Kairat Sarybay informed the President on the progress in implementing the key provisions of the Astana Statement on CICA transformation adopted at the 6th Summit in 2022.
In addition, Kairat Sarybay provided information on the work of the permanent institutions of the forum, active promotion of initiatives in the field of sustainable connectivity, financial cooperation, and ecology, as well as the prospects for youth and educational exchange in Asia.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of implementing the goals and objectives of CICA, as well as its initiatives announced at the 6th Summit in Astana.
